The club is aware that a large storm is approaching the south west of South Africa affecting Cape Town and other ports along the southern coast.  Strong winds and heavy rain are expected.  Local correspondents are monitoring the storm whilst the Western Cape Disaster Management is on high alert for flooding and damage to roads and infrastructure.  In the meantime, the Harbour Master's office for the port of Cape Town has released the attached notice to all agents in the port advising all vessels to ensure moorings are tendered at all times.  It is expected that the storm will move eastbound in the direction of the Eastern Cape later this week.
