The Scottish Government has recently announced its intention to match the £5m successfully awarded last year and to increase it if demand is demonstrated, to enable Scotland to become a world leader in decommissioning.
The DCF can support infrastructure upgrades at ports and harbours, as well as supply chain projects that will strengthen Scottish decommissioning capabilities and projects that will develop high quality business proposals for decommissioning. It also aims to support engineering scoping work at key sites to build business cases and feasibility studies in order to help attract private investment.
Further details are provided on DCF’s website.
