Web alert: province of Zambales update

Further to the club's previous web-alert dated 7 September 2015, we understand that The International Chamber of Shipping has raised the matter with the Filipino Shipowners’ Association and same was brought to the attention of Congressman Manalo who apparently supports the position that the new regulations are contrary to the right of innocent passage as defined in UNCLOS. This matter is to be reviewed as part of a debate under a Congressional agenda item.

The club will continue to monitor the position and keep members closely advised.​
