Further to the club’s last update on the Panama Canal draft reduction, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has issued a new Advisory to Shipping (No.A-25-2016) announcing further postponement of the third draft restriction (from 9th May to 6th June 2016).
Further to the club’s last update on the Panama Canal draft reduction, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) has issued a new Advisory to Shipping (No.A-25-2016) announcing further postponement of the third draft restriction (from 9 May to 6 June 2016).
The current reduced maximum permissible draft is 11.74m (38.5 feet) in tropical fresh water (TFW - density of 0.9954 at 29.4C). From 6 June 2016, the maximum permissible draft will be 11.59m (38.0 feet) TFW.
Members are recommended to ensure that their vessels which are due for Panama Canal transit observe the new draft limitations till further announcements from the Panama Canal Authority (ACP).
