The club has received confirmation through the International Group (IG) and from the IMO that the UK will extend their accession of the Nairobi Convention to the Isle of Man.

The club refers to its recent circular dated 28 January 2015, as well as its most recent web alerts (found here), on the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks ('the Nairobi Convention') which comes into force on 14 April 2015. 
 
Isle of Man
 
The club has received confirmation through the International Group (IG) and from the IMO that the UK will extend their accession of the Nairobi Convention to the Isle of Man. The Convention will have effect in the Isle of Man from 14 April 2015 i.e. the Nairobi Convention will apply to the Isle of Man on the date on which it enters into force for the UK - the same date on which the Convention enters into force internationally.
 
As of today (6 March 2015) the Isle of Man will be entitled to issue Nairobi Convention certificates to ships on its ship register.
