Workers at Brazil’s Santos port have said they will take strike action after negotiations between workers’ representatives and the Dock Company over pay and conditions broke up without resolution.

Workers at Brazil’s Santos port have said they will take strike action after negotiations between workers’ representatives and the Dock Company over pay and conditions broke up without resolution.

The Dock Company is owned by the Santos Port Administration, the government-owned port authority.

The action is likely to prevent mooring at the port across some of the terminals, with private terminals employing their own mooring operatives.
