Steady transition to new leadership planned as Alistair Groom announces retirement in 2014
Alistair Groom, Chief Executive Officer of the Standard Club management and an Executive Director of Charles Taylor plc has informed the boards of both organisations that he intends to retire in the early part of 2014.
Alistair will continue to have a close involvement with both Charles Taylor and the club after he retires. The Standard Club has asked him to remain on the club’s board and it is anticipated that he will take the role of Non-Executive Chairman of The Standard Club Europe Ltd. He is also expected to continue in a part time role with Charles Taylor.
Charles Taylor plc, with the full support of the Standard Club board, has confirmed that Jeremy Grose, currently Chief Operating Officer of the club management, will succeed Alistair as Chief Executive Officer.
