Further to club's previous news item on UK Ship Recycling Regulation (UK-SRR), the Maritime and Coast Guard Agency (MCA) has issued attached marine information note (MIN 657 (M+F)) on the UK list of approved ship recycling facilities.
From 1 January 2021, it is a requirement for the UK flag ships to be recycled at a facility which is on the United Kingdom List (UK List). This list is set out in the annex of the attached MIN 657, and is structured in 2 parts as follows:
Part A – UK facilities
Part B – Non-UK facilities which are on the European List.
The UK List will be periodically updated by MCA as required.
