Further to the club’s previous web-alert, members are advised that an updated version (1 July 2019) of the ICS guidelines on compliance with the 2020 ‘Global Sulphur Cap’ are available now.

Further to the club’s previous web-alert, members are advised that an updated version (1 July 2019) of the ICS guidelines on compliance with the 2020 ‘Global Sulphur Cap’ is available now. The publication is attached on the right for member’s reference.

The latest ICS guidance incorporates the recent decisions of the IMO’s Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) and Marine Safety Committee (MSC) meetings, such as fuel oil non-availability reporting, fuel safety and fuel quality.

Members are recommended to take note of the latest ICS guidelines and ensure that their ships are prepared in accordance with a ship implementation plan (SIP) before the 1 January 2020 deadline.
