Panama
The club has received information through the International Group (IG) that the Nairobi Convention will enter into force for Panama on 18 November 2015.
From this date those members with ships flying the Panama flag will be able to obtain a Nairobi Convention certificate from the Panama authorities.
Nairobi Convention certificates already obtained by Panama flagged vessels from any other State Party prior to the ratification of the Convention by Panama, would be acceptable to the Panama Maritime Authority until their expiry and do not have to be re-issued or replaced.
Further details are provided in the attached circular.
