The club has been advised by the local correspondents in China that effective 13 December 2016, the Chinese Ministry of Transport has issued a notice confirming that the previous regulation requiring international ocean-going vessels to dispose sludge and garbage is no longer mandatory.
The club has been advised by the local correspondents in China that effective 13 December 2016, the Chinese Ministry of Transport has issued a notice confirming that the previous regulation requiring international ocean-going vessels to dispose sludge and garbage is no longer mandatory.
Consequently the previous requirement for ocean-going vessels to present a valid Pollutant Disposal Certificate (PDC) to the Maritime Safety Administration prior ship’s departure from Chinese ports is now abolished.
