The club has been updated of recent developments with regard to import restrictions in Algeria imposed by Algerian Banks.
The club understands that on 6 January 2016 the Bank of Algeria formally instructed all Algerian and foreign Banks in Algeria to suspend imports of new vehicles, cement and steel rebar.
This suspension was instructed pursuant to the executive degree No 15-306 that sets out the requirements for the application of the licencing regimes regulating the importation of products and goods. The above degree establishes new import licence requirements which should enter into force soon.
The club will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as they develop. Please refer to /news-and-knowledge/news/ for news and to /news-and-knowledge/industry-information/cargo/ for regular updates on cargo issues.
