The Standard Club is a signatory to the Neptune Declaration on Seafarer Wellbeing and Crew Change.

With the rapid spread of Covid-19 in parts of Asia especially in countries which have been a source for seafarers, the crew change crisis has further deepened.

The Global Maritime Forum is at the forefront to raise awareness and represent the cause of the seafarers. It has released a best practice guidance to assist both long and short-term charterers to overcome obstacles and increase collaboration with other stake holders and ship owners to facilitate the conduct of the necessary crew changes.

The guidance is available for download below.
