David Roberts, Managing Director of Standard Asia, will be participating in an SCMA webinar panel discussion on “Mediation of Shipping and International Trade Disputes - Singapore's Role in Maritime Dispute Resolution” during Singapore Convention Week on 31 August 2022.

Singapore is geographically well positioned at the crossroad of the east-west trade and is, today, one of the leading maritime centres in the world offering a myriad of maritime services, including alternative dispute resolution (ADR). In view of the increasingly uncertain geo-political environment and risks of disruption to the global supply chain, the number of claims and disputes is likely to increase. Against this background, the panel will deliberate which option - arbitration, mediation, or arb-med-arb - works best for the shipping and trade sector.
