Further to the club’s previous update in December, our China correspondent Oasis P&I has released a new circular giving guidance on the new relaxations in Covid-19 precautionary requirements for ships visiting ports in China.

As per the latest requirements:

  1. PCR tests for new joining crew are no longer required.
  2. Local customs department will gradually stop carrying out PCR test on crew members.
  3. Crew change including for foreign crew would be allowed in Chinese ports.
  4. Some ports in China such as Shanghai, Qingdao, Dalian etc will allow surveyors to attend onboard.

More details are available in the Oasis circular 2301 which is attached at the bottom of this page.

We would like to thank Oasis P&I for this information.
