Standard Club Alternative Fuels Advisory Panel

As one of the world’s leading P&I insurers, we are committed to helping our members and shipowners across the globe make a safe, sustainable and successful transition to greener energy solutions, in line with The Paris Agreement and the IMO’s goals.

We do not recommend or favour a particular option. Instead, we are focused on a supportive role that provides members and brokers with all the information needed to make an informed choice and decision.

To ensure we provide ongoing, up-to-date, high-quality advice and guidance on this changing landscape and security of cover, our internal Alternative Fuels Working Group (AFWG) collaborates and shares knowledge with a dedicated advisory panel (SAFAP). In addition to the club’s own subject experts, the panel includes key professionals from the industry across all maritime fields including our membership, with expertise on decarbonisation and alternative fuels.
