The Standard Club is one of the world’s premier P&I clubs. Founded in 1884, we are a leading member of the International Group of P&I Clubs with S&P ‘AAA’ capital adequacy ratio and ‘A’ financial strength ratings.

Our team of underwriters with a high degree of specialization, claims handlers, loss prevention specialists and maritime lawyers s are available 24/7 to help you from our offices in major shipping hubs around the world.

Since 2000 we have provided Japanese members with a ‘one-stop-service (unified support)’ for P&I (Shipowner's Liability Insurance) and hull insurance through our TS21 co-insurance with Tokyo Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance. We now underwrite P&I insurance for more than 10 million tons of Japan-related ships.
