South Africa’s transport workers union Satawu threatened a “total shutdown” at major ports across the country from Thursday 30 May over a payment dispute. This strike action is expected to include pilots, as well as crew of harbor towage assets at ports including Durban and Saldanha Bay.
Members making calls or stemming bunkers at South African ports are warned to expect delays and contact their local agents for specific advice.
