The club has received information through the International Group (IG) that the Nairobi Convention will enter into force for The Netherlands on 19 April 2016

The club refers to its recent circulars and web alerts (all of which can be found here) on the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks (the Nairobi Convention) which came into force on 14 April 2015.
 
The Netherlands

The club has received information through the International Group (IG) that the Nairobi Convention will enter into force for The Netherlands on 19 April 2016.
 
From this date those members with ships flying the Dutch flag will be able to obtain a Nairobi convention certificate from the Dutch authorities.
Nairobi Convention certificates already obtained by Dutch flagged vessels from any other state party prior to the ratification of the Convention by The Netherlands will be acceptable to the Dutch Authorities until their expiry and do not have to be re-issued or replaced.
