The club has received information through the International Group (IG) that the Nairobi Convention will enter into force for France on 4 May 2016
The club refers to its recent circulars and web alerts (all of which can be found here), on the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal of Wrecks (the Nairobi Convention) which came into force on 14 April 2015.

The club has received information through the International Group (IG) that the Nairobi Convention will enter into force for France on 4 May 2016.
From this date those members with ships flying the French flag will be able to obtain a Nairobi convention certificate from the French authorities.
Nairobi Convention certificates already obtained by French flagged vessels from any other state party prior to the ratification of the Convention by France, will be acceptable to the French Maritime Authority until their expiry and do not have to be re-issued or replaced.
