The Port of Salalah, Oman has introduced a requirement requiring ships calling there to provide confirmation of cover
With effect from 1 July 2014, The Port of Salalah, Oman has introduced a requirement requiring ships calling there to provide confirmation of the following cover:
- Pollution
- Wreck Removal
- Third Party Damages
Ships that do not provide such confirmation will not be given clearance.
Correspondents have confirmed that a copy of the certificate of entry, issued by the club, will be sufficient confirmation to meet the insurance notice requirements. The copy of the certificate of entry should be submitted to the Harbour Master’s office by the ship’s agent at least 24 hours before the arrival of the ship at Salalah.
