On Wednesday 5 June 2013, the local Maritime Workers Union (SOMU) at the port of Bahia Blanca issued a notice, copy attached, that they will not allow the entrance of any vessel to the port of Bahia Blanca (Ingeniero White) flying the following flags which do not have onboard a valid ITF Blue certificate. They also request to receive in advance a copy of the said certificate by e-mail. SOMU can prevent the entrance of a vessel at the port of Bahia Blanca through the non-provision of tug boats. The IG have been alerted and are investigating this matter with the ITF. In the meantime, members should contact the club in case they experience any problems in this or in other Argentinian ports.
