As a speaker

Sam Kendall-Marsden regularly speaks at shipping industry events across the world, both on behalf of The Standard Club and The International Group of P&I Clubs. He brings his presentations to life by drawing on the rich vein of experience he has gained through having been involved in some of the world’s largest, most complex and technically-demanding wreck removal operations. Sam spearheaded the club’s responses to the MSC Chitra, MV Rena, Costa Concordia and Amadeo I casualties and provides ongoing advice and support to colleagues at the club in relation to casualty management.

Testimonials

‘Our thanks to you for agreeing to participate both with the opening presentation but also in the panel session on risk transfer.  Both were very well received as was the agenda overall we think and the standard of presentations and lively debates during the panel sessions made for a superb event.  We had nearly 400 delegates over the two days and the sponsorship was overwhelming.’

‘Thank you again for your workshop – the buzz from people that were there was amazing!’

‘I thought your presentation was spot on. It was a beautifully crafted and well-presented lecture, delivered in a relaxed and engaging style. The story followed a logical sequence and was very easy to follow’

‘Many thanks for delivering the Marine Lecture … . It was a very good presentation of a success story in wreck removal that I think the market needed to hear. Your presentational style was very relaxed and I enjoyed the odd bits of humour…’

‘We … must thank you for contributing to the success of our seminar. I don't recall how many people mentioned to me how impressed they were with your presentation. It was just great to have you with us and I hope you will join us again next year’

‘Your presentation was awesome’

'Special thanks to Sam for agreeing to present to our especially inquisitive … crowd! I heard rave reviews from even our toughest critics all afternoon.  Thank you so much for sharing your Costa Concordia experience with a safety focus; it certainly made round one of International Safety Day enjoyable.’

'Thank you so much for your presentation ….  This broke the record for attendance and, judging from the questions and comments afterwards, was extremely well received.'
