Web alert: OFAC announces no Cuba changes will take effect until new regulations issued

On 17 December 2014, President Barack Obama announced the re-establishment of economic and travel ties with Cuba.
In light of President Obama’s announcement regarding the Cuba sanctions program, please note that, according to the Office of Foreign Assets Control, none of the announced changes will take effect until new regulations are issued. OFAC has advised it expects to issue its regulatory amendments to its Cuban Assets Control Regulations in the coming weeks.
