Recently the Guangzhou Maritime Court in China had to consider a claim where the claimant shipper sued the defendant carrier for RMB 3.8m (approximately $600,000) on the grounds that the carrier had delivered the subject goods at the disport without presentation of the original bill of lading.

The club is aware of reports that a Saudi-led coalition has struck the Yemeni port of Hodeidah while targeting rebel Houthi positions. Port officials have reported that cranes and warehouses have been destroyed in the attack.
