Sanctions in Cuba

 

The US has imposed a trade embargo against Cuba which prohibits most transactions between persons subject to US jurisdiction and Cuban nationals.

 

Key restrictions

 

Vessels calling at Cuban ports cannot call at a US port for 180 days and vessels carrying cargo to/from Cuba cannot call at a US port unless it is pursuant to a licence issued by the US Treasury.
